From 1983 to 1987, Larry worked as a subcontractor in Houston, Texas, specializing in concrete work, framing, remodeling, and home improvement projects. In 1987, he founded Cornerstone Construction & Remodeling Inc. in Churubusco, Indiana, focusing on remodeling and new home construction. Sales increased from $86,000 in 1987 to $1,025,000 by 1997. He also established Camalot Homes Inc. to build homes in the $90,000 to $120,000 range. In 1997, Larry transitioned to radio advertisement sales at WFCV Christian radio while maintaining his part-time pastoral role. He later joined United Media Group, selling Bus Hut advertising.
